At Crownfield Junior, we believe in working as a team for the children that we are responsible for and care for. We believe that our children are at the centre of all we do, encouraging and supporting them to be the best that they can be. We treat the children as individuals and understand that their needs are unique to them. We are extremely proud of our school and the broad curriculum we offer.
We are currently in the process of expanding to a four form entry and our new expansion building will be open from September 2021. As partners with the Mawney School through the Learning and Achieving Federation, we exchange good practice and resources to continue our journeys forward.
Our Ofsted Report in June 2018 stated:
‘The school has a strong culture of care. Pupils are extremely polite and well behaved. In lessons, they are engaged in their learning and listen to one another respectfully’.
We are looking for someone new, someone like-minded, to join our well-motivated, happy team as a classteacher. We would like to appoint an enthusiastic, organised person who:
- Can demonstrate excellent classroom teaching and learning with high expectations of pupil progress and attainment
- Is able to challenge, motivate and support pupils of all abilities and needs
- Has a secure knowledge and understanding of assessment in Literacy and Maths
- Is passionate about the teaching and learning of the whole child and is flexible to new ideas
- Works well as part of a team
- Is pro-active and can demonstrate a willingness to participate fully in all aspects of school life.
We are lucky to be set in beautiful grounds. Our children are great to work with: polite, enthusiastic, hard working with a sense of fun! We have a very supportive staff who work together for the good of the children – they have a sense of humour too!
We can offer you a tour around our school but would need to adhere to current Covid restrictions and guidance. I am available to contact at any time during the day, please phone our reception on 01708 747070. You may also wish to look at our website and blog for further information.
Interviews will be face to face and will include a selection of paper tasks as a model lesson will not be possible.
Closing Date: Friday 14th May 2021
Interviews: 19th May 2021
Havering Schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The protection of our pupils from abuse is the responsibility of all staff within our schools, superseding any other considerations. Therefore Havering Schools comply with the Department for Education ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ guidance.
It is an offence to apply for a post which involves engaging in regulated activity relevant to children if you are barred from doing so. Please be advised that, again in line with ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’, shortlisted candidates (who wish to accept an invite to interview) will be required to submit, prior to their interview, a self-declaration of their criminal record or information that would make them unsuitable to work with children. Upon submission of this information, online checks may be carried out.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; the successful applicant will be expected to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure check. Having a criminal record will not necessarily debar you from obtaining a position with the School.
