The successful candidate will have good organisational skills, be able to work independently but also as part of a team, showing a willingness to assist other teams who require your assistance.

At LIFE we support 7 schools, in total, across Essex and Havering to deliver excellent pupil outcomes, create vibrant, exciting environments and offer rewarding careers for staff.

This role would ideally suit a school or college leaver looking for their first work position.

What we can offer you:

  • A supportive team.
  • The chance to work in a fantastic school community set in beautiful grounds.
  • A well experienced, qualified and forward thinking team.
  • Opportunities for professional development.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • An enthusiasm and passion for Excellence.

Everyone needs to find their purpose. At the LIFE Eduction Trust our mission is to build great learning communities which unleash creativity and champion optimism, in a spirit of compassion. To accomplish our mission, we use our 3 core beliefs:

  • Courageous optimism

  • Heartfelt compassion

These beliefs are at the centre of everything we do. We live and breathe them.

Please submit a copy of the Trust's support role application form, which can be found on our website, together with a letter of application and supporting paperwork, to Julian Dutnall, CEO by 9am on Thursday 22nd July 2021.

Suitable candidates will be interviewed on the 15th & 16th July. The Trust reserves the right to interview prior to the deadline date.

LIFE Education Trust is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the DBS.

Safeguarding

Havering Schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The protection of our pupils from abuse is the responsibility of all staff within our schools, superseding any other considerations. Therefore Havering Schools comply with the Department for Education ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ guidance.

It is an offence to apply for a post which involves engaging in regulated activity relevant to children if you are barred from doing so. Please be advised that, again in line with ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’, shortlisted candidates (who wish to accept an invite to interview) will be required to submit, prior to their interview, a self-declaration of their criminal record or information that would make them unsuitable to work with children. Upon submission of this information, online checks may be carried out.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; the successful applicant will be expected to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure check. Having a criminal record will not necessarily debar you from obtaining a position with the School.

Equal Opportunities

Havering Schools aim to promote and ensure equality of opportunity and equal treatment for all. We are committed to equal opportunities in employment regardless of gender, marital status, race, colour, nationality (including citizenship), ethnic or national origins, disabilities, age, sexual orientation, responsibility for dependants, religious or political affiliation and trade union activities. All matters related to employment are decided on the basis of qualifications, merit and business need.

How to apply

Please submit a copy of the Trust's support role application form, which can be found on our website, together with a letter of application and supporting paperwork, to Julian Dutnall, CEO by 9am on Thursday 22nd July 2021.
