1 to 1 LSA

To Start: ASAP

At Crownfield Junior, we believe in working as a team for the children that we are responsible for and care for. We believe that our children are at the centre of all we do and we encourage and support them to be the best that they can be. We treat the children as individuals and understand that their needs are unique to them.

We are looking for someone new, someone like-minded, to join our well-motivated, happy team. We would like to appoint an enthusiastic, organised person who has experience in supporting students with particular needs especially social and emotional, to enable them to fulfil their full potential within a school environment.  A background knowledge, experience and/or qualifications in ASD, preverbal children, as well as experience in the use of PECS, Makaton and attention autism would be advantageous. A good standard of Literacy and Numeracy is essential.

Our Ofsted Report in June 2018 stated:

‘The school has a strong culture of care. Pupils are extremely polite and well behaved. In lessons, they are engaged in their learning and listen to one another respectfully’.

We are lucky to be set in beautiful grounds. Our children are great to work with: polite, enthusiastic, hard working with a sense of fun! We have a very stable staff who work together for the good of the children – they have a sense of humour too! We are currently expanding from a 3 form to a 4 form entry and the new part of our school has just opened.

The LSA would work under the direction of the Senior Management Team and the SENCo. At all times, the LSA will work within a Year Group and plan alongside them, reporting to the Head of Year on an agreed system of supervision and management.

To maintain safety at this time, we cannot offer you a tour of the school during the day but our children have put together a selection of photos for you to look at. I am also available to contact at any time during the day. Please phone our reception on 01708 747070. You may also wish to look at our website and blog for further information.

Interviews will be face to face and may include a task.

 Please apply online.

Closing Date: Thursday 30th September 2021 - 12 noon.

Interview Date: Week commencing 4th October 2021.
