CLASS LEARNING SUPPORT AND MIDDAY ASSISTANT - KS2

Hours: LSA - 17.5hrs per week (5 x mornings, 8.30-12pm). MDS - 5 hrs per week (5 lunch duties, 12.00-1.00pm)/39 weeks per year.

Overall hours 22.5 hrs per week (8.30-1.00pm), 5 days per week

Grade: Scale 2 Point 3-4

Actual Salary for above hours: £11,419 p.a.

Required for October 2021

 

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic learning support assistant and midday assistant to join our successful school to work with KS2 children.

Applications are welcome from candidates with experience of working with KS2 children and are qualified with NVQ level 2 or above.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Proactive, well-organised and willing to work collaboratively with the class teacher and other colleagues
  • Able to engage and enthuse pupils, encouraging independence in their learning
  • Passionate about supporting all groups of children in order to enhance the quality of their learning and raise pupil achievement
  • Confident in using ICT
  • A committed and enthusiastic team member who engages pupils in a range of exciting activities and games.
  • Able to contribute to ensuring our lunchtime is a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
  • Warm and caring, developing positive relationships with all pupils.
  • Proactive in promoting social skills and collaboration.
  • Flexible and willing to take on a range of roles and responsibilities.
