Midday Assistant – 1 year fixed term contract

Grade: Grade 1/2, point 3

Salary: Pro rata salary of £2,486 p.a. (FTE £21,408 p.a.)

Hours: 5 hours per week. 1 hour daily (11.30am – 12.30pm) – Monday to Friday/term time only (38 weeks)

Required from November 2021

 

We are looking for a Midday Assistant to join our hard working, enthusiastic team of MDAs who make lunchtimes happy, productive and safe for all of our children. You will work with a child/children who need additional support at lunchtime. Previous experience working with children with special educational needs would be an advantage but not essential.

You will be asked to help with:

  •  The transition from class to the dining hall and the school playground
  • Supervision and supporting a child/children whilst they eat
  • Supervising and engaging positive and active play
  • Assisting with medical, physical and care needs as appropriate

You will report directly to our Midday Supervisor and must be able to work effectively as part of a team. You should be flexible, punctual and able to deal with all matters in a fair and consistent manner. You should be caring, approachable, have a positive outlook and the ability to work in a calm manner at all times.
