Hours: 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (Split shift 7am - 10am / 2pm - 6pm)

Grade: NJC Havering Pay Scale Points SCP 10 to 14

Salary: £24,258 - £26,052 p.a 

Contract: Permanent

Required: January 2022

 

The Langtons schools are looking to appoint a hardworking, skilled, dependable and self-motivated individual to work across both establishments.

We require someone who will contribute to the smooth running of both schools by organising and undertaking the caretaking, maintenance, cleaning and security of the school site, equipment and grounds. The successful candidate will have caretaking and/or general maintenance skills together with knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, procedures and risk assessments. You will need IT skills for reporting, ordering and communications, and also be required to promote, plan and supervise lettings.  Some weekend work maybe required, and you should be flexible, energetic and keen to work as part of our school community.  Experience of a similar role within a school will be a significant advantage.

 

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Opening and closing of school gates and buildings
  • Facilities management, including lettings
  • Site safety and security
  • Primary Key Holder and be the first point of contact in an emergency callout situation
  • Monitoring use of schools by others, including contractors
  • First line and emergency maintenance and repairs
  • Cleaning, including at height
  • Day-to-day supervision of cleaners and responsibility for quality of standards of cleaning
  • Complete / schedule compliance checks.
