SEND Teaching Assistant

Hours:   hours per week (8:45am - 3:15pm) term time

Grade: Grade 1/2 points 1-5

Salary: £20,658 - £22,185 full time equivalent


1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant required to support with a child with Social, Emotional and Behavioural difficulties (SEMHD). 

We are looking to appoint a highly qualified SEND Teaching Assistant to work as a part of an outstanding team.  Experience of supporting children who have lived with trauma and attachment difficulties would be beneficial; proven experience of working with children with a range of special educational needs is essential.

Desirable qualifications/attributes -

  • L2 or L3 qualification in Teaching and Learning in schools
  • Hold GCSE qualifications in English and Maths to at least Grade C
  • Be passionate about working with young children
  • Be calm and controlled and have excellent communication skills
  • Be able to work as a team
  • Be willing to contribute to whole school activities and support the school in the wider life of the school and community
  • Be keen to develop professionally
