Midday Assistant

Hours: 6 hours per week

Grade: Grade 1/2, Spinal Point 1-5  (£20,658 - £22,185 full time equivalent)

To Start: As soon as possible


At Crownfield Junior, we believe in working as a team for the children that we are responsible for and care for. We believe that our children are at the centre of all we do and we encourage and support them to be the best that they can be. We treat the children as individuals and understand that their needs are unique to them.  We are extremely proud of our school and the broad curriculum we offer. We are currently expanding to a four form entry. We are partners with the Mawney School as the Learning and Achieving Federation through which we are exchanging good practice and resources to continue our journeys forward. 

Our Ofsted Report in June 2018 stated: 

‘The school has a strong culture of care. Pupils are extremely polite and well behaved.  In lessons, they are engaged in their learning and listen to one another respectfully’.

We are looking to appoint a Midday Assistant who will join our team to work with children and provide a safe and happy lunchtime.

For this post we are looking for

  • Someone who works well as part of a team
  • A person who understands the importance of following procedures and policies
  • The ability to forge relationships with the children
  • A person who will be proactive with providing children with enjoyable activities through the lunchtime period
  • Flexibility, patience, adaptability, initiative and a sense of humour.
