Hours:  30 hours per week (times to be agreed) x 38 weeks per year

Grade:  Scale 3, Point 5-6

Pro-rata salary:  £15,549 p.a - £15,739 p.a (FTE £22,185 p.a - £22,587 p.a)

Contract:  Permanent

Whybridge Junior School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented TA to join our friendly and vibrant school. You will join a strong and supportive team of staff within an Academy that is committed to providing a positive, safe and stimulating learning environment for our pupils and staff.  Whybridge Junior School is part of Hornchurch Academy Trust which offers excellent opportunities for training, support, career development and sharing best practice amongst its five schools.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work starting at 8.45am and finishing at 3.45pm (full day) 5 days a week. The role will involve some general in-class support for teaching and learning, as well supporting SEND pupils with interventions and whole class participation. We welcome applications from candidates with previous experience only.

The successful candidate will:

  • have good Maths and English skills
  • have a diverse set of skills which will enable you to be flexible in supporting or leading teaching and learning in the classroom;
  • be passionate about teaching and learning, and striving for the best outcomes for children
  • be able to work creatively and strategically in the classroom
  • be an innovative and reflective practitioner who is keen to learn
  • be positive, with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • have a good sense of humour
