Required: Experienced Teaching Assistant to work with assigned children from  September 2022 Fixed term contract - named contract

Grade 1/2 Points 1 -5

Hours: 5 x afternoons 18.75hpw (including lunch duty) per week x 38 weeks per year

Actual salary: £9,244 - £9,831 p.a. (18.75hpw)

We are looking for an inspiring and talented learning support assistant with the necessary skills/experience or willingness to learn to work with children that have social and communication needs. We require someone who will nurture the child in their care, get to know them but also be firm and consistent with expectations. 

Support and training from in ‘house’ will be provided alongside working with the local authority advisory teacher for social and communication needs.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience in delivering a range of interventions and will be forward thinking, progressive and understand Section E of an EHCP, and how the role, pays a vital part in supporting the pupil in their care. This role may include intimate care and support and training will be provided by the health team within the local authority. Please note applicants should be already hold a professional qualification, be enrolled on a Teaching Assistant course or with a willingness to undertake a relevant TA qualification. NVQ Level 2 and 3.

We need someone that will go the extra mile for our children, with bundles of energy, who is prepared to administer personal care should the child require it, who will take a pro-active approach to support the children, getting to know individual assigned children in liaison with parents/carers, our SENDCo and the assigned class teacher.
