Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Intervention Room)

30 hours per week (Monday to Friday) x 39 weeks per year

Grade:  GLWC Scale 5 Points 12– 15

Salary: £18,476 - £19,493 per annum


We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced HLTA to join our friendly and supportive team to support the smooth running of our intervention room (iClass) on a daily basis.


The purpose of the role is to provide support to pupils or groups of pupils who require extra interventions for developing their academic attainment and/or their emotional and behaviour needs. As such, there will be a focus on implementing work programmes for individuals/groups, including leading on targeted interventions. In addition some support will be required in lessons.  They will also supervise/cover classes (without the presence of a teacher) in the event of planned or unplanned absence by other teachers in the Academy.
