Pupil Records Admin Assistant & Attendance Officer
Hours: 35 hours per week, term time, 39 weeks per year. Covering the hours 8:30am to 4:30pm, including 1 hour lunch break or 8:30am to 4:00pm, including a 30 minute lunch break
Grade: APTC 4 Point 7-10
Salary: £27,855 p.a. - £29,139 p.a.
Actual Salary: £23,268 p.a. - £24,340 p.a.
Contract: Permanent

We are seeking to appoint a Pupil Records Admin Assistant & Attendance Officer to support the efficient and effective organization and administration of school processes, procedures and policies in addition to monitoring and reporting on whole–school attendance data across both sites. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers and be able to resolve problems and complaints in a sensitive manner. The successful applicant will be able to help support other school admin staff to do their jobs efficiently and effectively.
What we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of working within a school using the SIMS or similar Management Information System within the pupil records and attendance capacity and understanding and applying the school pupil policies and procedures, such as Keeping Children Safe in Education, Children Missing in Education and school safeguarding and child protection policies. The Pupil Records Admin Assistant & Attendance Officer has specific responsibility for ensuring strong communication with internal staff, parents, carers and other stakeholders. Administering and maintaining up to date Pupil information and data on SIMS including census data and ensuring daily attendance registers are accurate and complete.

- Ability to work effectively and accurately.
- Ability to communicate and co-operate effectively with colleagues at all levels, parents, carers and other stakeholders.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Pro-active and conscientious, able to adapt to business needs as required.
- Excellent self-initiated problem solving skills
- A working knowledge of a school MIS system
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
