SEND Teaching Assistant 1:1
Hours: 29.167hpw/38 weeks per year + HOLS (8:30am - 3.20pm)
Actual Salary: Grade 1/2, points 2-5 £17,555 - £18,353 p.a.
Contract: Permanent
Start Date: 1st September 2024
We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting children with SEND. The role is predominantly working as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant for the same child. Some group work may also be required.
The role involves supporting a child with speech, language and communication needs. Any experience using visuals and Attention A would be an advantage.
Whilst you will be expected to work under the direction of the class teacher you will also have the ability to use your own initiative to organise tasks and activities; creating simple resources to support the pupil’s work as appropriate. You will work closely with the class teacher and the School’s SENCO as well as working in partnership with external contacts to support learning and development.
