Teaching Assistant

Hours: 30 hours per week/38 weeks per year

Salary: Grade 1/2 Spinal Point 3-5. £18,324 - £18,877per annum. FTE £26,238 - £27,030 per annum (Inclusive of Outer London Weighting)

Hall Mead School wish to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who will be committed to supporting students with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability). The successful candidate with be a committed practitioner who is committed to helping students achieve their best academically as well as socially.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates to gain experience, if considering a career in teaching.

The Learning Support Department is a very large department with over 80 EHCPs (Educational Health Care Plans). It has a suite of rooms in the ‘Personal Learning Centre’, accommodating an Additionally Resourced Provision for Autistic students, Nurture Groups for vulnerable students, bespoke Key Stage curriculum and a Life Skills Flat.

Experience of working with children is desirable as is education to graduate level but these are not essential for an application to be considered.
