About this Role
We are seeking to appoint a high-calibre Cover Supervisor to join our talented and supportive team at The Frances Bardsley Academy for Girls. The cover supervisor's main role will be to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with pre-prepared exercises and activities that have been set by the teacher, and to support them wherever possible. You should have a passion for working with young people to ensure they can fulfil their potential. It is an amazing opportunity to gain a clear understanding of a school’s day-to-day operation if you are interested in undertaking ‘Teacher Training’ in the future
The successful candidate will:
- The ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team of professionals
- Excellent communication skills, oral, written and presentation skills
- The ability to manage, supervise and direct the activities of children and young people.
- Proficiency in the use of ICT and the software programmes used in schools
- The ability to deploy a range of strategies and techniques to encourage positive behaviour and maintain order and discipline
- The ability to become familiar with the relevant curriculum information and teaching methods
