SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator)
Hours: Part-Time (1 day per week)
Salary: Competitive salary, based on experience
Contract: Permanent
Start Date: September 2025
St Mary’s Hare Park School is a vibrant and nurturing independent primary school seeking a passionate, committed and enthusiastic SENDCo to lead and coordinate our SEND provision.
This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced SENDCo or a qualified teacher with a strong interest in Special Educational Needs who is keen to transition into a SEND leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the strategic development of SEND provision to raise the achievement of pupils with additional needs.
- Responsible for overseeing the SEND strategy
- Coordinate and implement EHCPs, Annual Reviews, Provision Maps and SEND interventions.
- Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, parents, external agencies and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure all pupils’ needs are effectively met.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND support across the school and report regularly to the Headteacher and Trustees.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on best practices for inclusive teaching.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS (or equivalent) and a NASENCO qualification.
- Has recent experience in supporting pupils with SEND within the primary age range.
- Is an excellent communicator, organised, and enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
- Can work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals.
