SEND Key Worker/LSA - Secondary

Salary:  Scale 2 Point 3-4, Actual Salary £19,366 - £19,642 (30 hours)/Point 3-4, Actual Salary £21,625 - £21,934 (33.5 hours)

Additional salary: £1000 which is then prorated down depending on the hours. 30 hours = approx £700/ 33.5 hours = approx £770

Weeks of the year: 38 weeks a year

Responsible to: SENCO

Liaises with: Class teachers, HOFs and SENCO

Hours: 30 or 33.5 hours per week (timings of the day will be discussed at interview)

Starting: September 2025

 

We are seeking someone who is highly motivated, flexible and organised who enjoys working with young people. Someone with an ELSA qualification or the willingness to complete an ELSA qualification is highly desirable. Experience with SEMH is also preferable. We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join our very successful SEND department.  You will be working closely with the Director of Inclusion ensuring the students have a positive learning experience and supporting them to achieve their best outcomes. Are you able to:

  • Lead on interventions put into place by the Director of Inclusion
  • Demonstrate empathy and understanding for students with additional needs
  • To work as part of a team
  • Support the learning in a classroom
  • Be responsible for improving standards of behaviour & attitudes to learning
  • Act as a positive and proactive role model
