We are looking for a School Admin Officer to start in October, subject to all completing all employment checks. The school will work around notice periods, where possible.
We are looking to hire a Admin Officer to assist in the smooth running of our busy School office.
This Admin Officer role would be ideally suited to someone who has already AT LEAST one year school-based professional experience, and ideally with knowledge of school databases (SIMS, in particular).
We are and Infant School based in The London Borough of Havering and provides education to children from the ages of 4-7. The office team are a strong united group, that work cohesively with one another and create a great working atmosphere to be involved in. The workload is evenly split across the whole team with individual responsibilities being designated to each member. The school are looking for the successful candidate to also be adaptive and hard-working.
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Experienced multi-tasker who can work in a busy, professional environment and would be able to deal with complex reception and visitor matters
- Assured skills typing with speed and accuracy, typing reports, letters, communications to parents using parentmail
- Outstanding face-to-face communication skills
- Be able to use discretion and initiative and be able to prioritise tasks
- Work with a wide range of IT systems - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Alongside other members of the office team you would be willing to provide after school support for Parents’ Evening and the Book Fayre.
- Support with the admission of new pupil’s
- The office is the first point of contact for new parents ensuring all relevant documents and contact information is supplied and support given to new parents were necessary
- First Aid is essential for this post and training will be given
- To carry out ad-hoc duties as requested by the School Leadership Team, and or the School Business Manager. The duties above are neither exclusive nor exhaustive and the post holder may be required by the Headteacher to carry out appropriate duties within the context of the job, skills and grade.
