Food Technician & General Technician

Hours: 35 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (PART-TIME would be considered for the right candidate)

Grade: Scale 3, Points 5-6 

Actual Salary:  £23,239 - £23,571 per annum. 

Contract:  Permanent

We are seeking to appoint a Food Technology & General Technician. The work will involve preparing materials and assisting in practical lessons, maintaining a safe & clean working environment, ordering produce, preparing displays and assisting the classroom teacher.

The successful candidate will have good practical skills and ideally some experience in hospitality and catering.  There would be a requirement for the successful candidate to undertake first aid and food hygiene training. 

You will be required to work with key personnel in school.  Applicants will need to be adaptable, creative and flexible and have the ability to work with minimum supervision and should have excellent organisational skills. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team is essential.

We take a collaborative view of learning where good practice is shared through a structured INSET programme within school and across the Trust.
