At Crownfield Junior, we believe in working as a team for the children that we are responsible for and care for. We believe that our children are at the centre of all we do, encouraging and supporting them to be the best that they can be. We treat the children as individuals and understand that their needs are unique to them.
We are extremely proud of our school and the broad curriculum we offer. We are a four-form entry and partners with the Mawney Foundation School as part of The Learning and Achieving Federation, through which we exchange good practice and resources to continue our journeys forward.
Our Ofsted Report in July 2023 stated:
‘Pupils at this school are kind, polite and hard-working. In lessons they listen to their teachers and to each other.'
‘Pupils with SEND are quickly identified and are very well supported to study the same broad curriculum as their classmates. Teachers and leaders work together to identify strategies that best meet these pupils’ needs.’
'Safeguarding is prioritised and leaders are tenacious in securing support for the most vulnerable pupils.’ ‘Staff feel well-supported by leaders.'

It is an offence to apply for a post which involves engaging in regulated activity relevant to children if you are barred from doing so. Please be advised that, again in line with ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’, shortlisted candidates (who wish to accept an invite to interview) will be required to submit, prior to their interview, a self-declaration of their criminal record or information that would make them unsuitable to work with children.
