41 weeks per year - term time + 2 weeks, 1 at Easter, 1 in the Summer

Actual Salary: £44,782 - £48,539 p.a.

Contract: Permanent

Langtons Infant School & Nursery is a friendly and welcoming, community centred school.  Our two form entry school and nursery is situated in the heart of Hornchurch, very close to the High Street with good bus and train links.  We pride ourselves on a calm, inclusive environment.  We have a great opportunity for you to join our fantastic team.   

We are looking for an experienced, dedicated proactive School Business Manager with a talent for finance and a passion for community to lead our administrative and financial functions.

The Role
As our School Business Manager, you will be a key member of our leadership support team, reporting directly to the Headteacher. You will oversee the essential smooth running of our systems. 

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Finance: Managing the school budget, and ensuring monthly financial reconciliation.
  • Office Management: Leading our administrative and premises staff to maintain efficient office systems.
  • HR & Safeguarding: Supporting recruitment, managing employment contracts, and maintaining the Single Central Record
  • Premises & Health and Safety: Overseeing contracts, and ensuring H&S compliance.
