Pay Grade: Grade 1/2 Points 3-5
Salary: £28,617 - £29,436 (full time amount) £9,327 - £9,593 p.a. (pro rata amount)
Hours: 14 hours per week 8.00am - 3.30pm Thursday - Friday 38 weeks per year

We are seeking for an Administrator Assistant to work Thursdays and Fridays 8.00 am to 12.15 and then from 1.45 to 3.30 pm in the school office on our Reception Desk (12 hours per week). From 12.15 – 1.15 pm, the successful candidate will undertake a MDS role (2 hours per week). This equates to 14 hours per week (30 minute break unpaid)
The office role is often the first point of contact for all our visitors and therefore, the ideal candidate would need to demonstrate an exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers.
We are looking for someone who can communicate effectively with people in person, via the telephone or email. To deal with queries regarding the on-line dinner system (ParentPay) and run reports (training will be given). To be able to administer First Aid (training will be given if necessary) in the event of accident or injury and for the completion of relevant documentation according to school procedures via Medical Tracker.
The Administrator Assistant will be responsible for the receipt of sorting and distributing incoming messages, post and deliveries and to collect and dispatch outgoing mail and packages. To support the school with arrangement of events which may include (but not exclusively) educational trips. To use computerised management information systems and/or paper based filing systems to enter, record and retrieve data.
The skills and qualities we look for in an Administrative Assistant include:
- Previous experience of working within a school in a similar capacity (desirable)
- Competence using the school’s SIMS system
- Using Google Drive and creating response forms
- A positive, resourceful and calm disposition ready to deal with the challenges of a school reception
- Provide a positive experience for visitors to the school and deliver excellent customer service

For the MDS role, this person will be responsible for:
- The transition of pupils from class to the dining hall and/or the school playground (or other designated areas during wet play) and back to class at the end of lunchtime
- Supervising and supporting pupils whilst they eat
- Promoting and supervising positive and active play and pupil relationships
- Health, safety, security and basic first aid (after relevant training)
- Pupil discipline and behaviour management.
