Classroom Teaching Assistant

Required to start November 2019

Hours: 32.5 per week (8:30am - 3:15pm)

38 weeks per year

Grade: APTC 3 Points 5-6

Pro rata salary: £16,111 - £16,402 per annum

Contract: Temporary - assigned to a named child on a EHCP

 

The Head teacher and Governors wish to appoint a new classroom teaching assistant to join our enthusiastic and supportive team. You will join a school recognised as ‘Good’ by OfSTED.           

The successful candidate will need to be an enthusiastic, flexible, confident individual with excellent interpersonal and behaviour management skills to assist and support class teachers in the learning and teaching of pupils, under the overall direction of the Class teacher, SENDco and the Senior Leadership Team. This post will be for supporting a named child on a EHCP from November 2019. However the key stage you will be working in may change in future years in order to best support the needs of the pupils across the school. 

Their work is primarily to foster good behaviour and participation of the pupils in the social and academic processes of the school; seek to enable the pupils to become more independent learners; and help to raise standards of achievement for the nominated pupils.
