School Business Manager

Hours: 35 Hours per week/39 weeks per year (term time plus inset)

Grade: Grade 8 points 35 to 39. FTE £39,774 - £43,590 p.a.

Contract Type: Permanent

Start Date: 1st December 2019 or by agreement

 

An opportunity has arisen to join the enthusiastic and dedicated team at Whybridge Infant School. The Governors and Head Teacher invite applications for the post of School Business Manager on the retirement of the long-standing and highly regarded School Business Manager at the end of Autumn Term.

Whybridge Infant School is a popular and successful three-form infant school. Applications are invited from highly motivated individuals who can successfully lead our efficient and professional school office and who are innovative and business-minded. You will be expected to take the lead in the financial, operational and business aspects of the school, working with the Head Teacher to ensure the school’s resources are used as effectively as possible to meet its educational aims and maintain high levels of health, safety and security for all stakeholders. You will also be a member of the school Senior Management Team and the line manager and the performance manager of designated school support staff.

The successful applicant will be a strong communicator, a strategic and commercial thinker with a proven track record of financial and project management and effective leadership of teams. School-based experience is desirable but not essential for this important role.

The post is available from 1st December 2019 although a later start date can be negotiated for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be a person who:

  • Is enthusiastic and committed

  • Has excellent communication skills at all levels, is a team player and has a desire to raise standards for all our children
  • Is able to take the lead on all financial matters within school
  • Can play a strategic role in school improvement and improve the financial value of provision and services
  • Has the organisational and leadership skills to run the school office efficiently and professionally
