Midday Assistant
Hours: 10 hours per week (2 hours daily, 11.30am to 13.30pm). Monday to Friday/Term time only (38 weeks per year)
Grade: Grade 1/2, Point 3
Salary: Pro rata salary of £4,784 p.a. (FTE £20,835 p.a.)
Contract: Fixed Term
Start Date: Required from 25th February 2020
We are looking for a Midday Assistant to join our hard working, enthusiastic team of Midday Assistants who make lunchtimes happy, productive and safe for all of our children. You will work with a child/children who need additional support at lunchtime. Previous experience working with children with special educational needs would be an advantage.
You will be asked to help with:
- The transition from class to the dining hall and the school playground
- Supervision and supporting a child/children whilst they eat
- Supervising and engaging positive and active play
- Assisting with medical, physical and care needs as appropriate
You will report directly to our Midday Supervisor and must be able to work effectively as part of a team. You should be flexible, punctual and able to deal with all matters in a fair and consistent manner. You should be caring, approachable, have a positive outlook and the ability to work in a calm manner at all times.
