Set in a beautiful semi-rural location, our school has a real family feel and a positive Christian ethos.

As part of LIFE Education Trust, we work collaboratively with schools in Havering and Essex and are fully committed to the LIFE vision: "Dare to Achieve."

We believe in helping staff and pupils achieve their personal best and are keen to recruit the very best talent for our Trust. If you share our passion for challenging, improving and making our schools the best, we would love to hear from you.

We seek to appoint passionate, experienced and professional Learning Support Assistant working 1-2-1 with a pupil, to join our team where you will be part of a small, friendly school in a beautiful location. The pupils are a joy and you will be part of a positive environment, with inspiring and supportive colleagues who strive for excellence. If this describes you, we would love to hear from you.

The successful candidate will need to enjoy working with children and have excellent interpersonal skills, patience and a sense of humour. It will be your job to assist and support in the supervision, engagement and development of the pupil, working in collaboration with school support staff, under the overall direction of the Acting Head of School. Experience preferred, but not essential.

Please submit a copy of the school’s application form, which can be found on our website, together with a letter of application and supporting paperwork, to Mrs V Smith at recruitment@lifeeducationtrust.com by 9am on Wednesday 8th July.

The School reserves the right to interview prior to the deadline date. To find out why we are so proud of Dame Tipping, visit our website: http://dametipping.com//. We encourage and welcome applications from all backgrounds and all parts of the community, particularly people from ethnic minorities who are currently under-represented’

Dame Tipping C E Primary School is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the DBS.

Safeguarding

Havering Schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The protection of our pupils from abuse is the responsibility of all staff within our schools, superseding any other considerations. Therefore Havering Schools comply with the Department for Education ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ guidance.

It is an offence to apply for a post which involves engaging in regulated activity relevant to children if you are barred from doing so. Please be advised that, again in line with ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’, shortlisted candidates (who wish to accept an invite to interview) will be required to submit, prior to their interview, a self-declaration of their criminal record or information that would make them unsuitable to work with children. Upon submission of this information, online checks may be carried out.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; the successful applicant will be expected to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure check. Having a criminal record will not necessarily debar you from obtaining a position with the School.

Equal Opportunities

Havering Schools aim to promote and ensure equality of opportunity and equal treatment for all. We are committed to equal opportunities in employment regardless of gender, marital status, race, colour, nationality (including citizenship), ethnic or national origins, disabilities, age, sexual orientation, responsibility for dependants, religious or political affiliation and trade union activities. All matters related to employment are decided on the basis of qualifications, merit and business need.

How to apply

Please submit a copy of the school’s application form, which can be found on our website, together with a letter of application and supporting paperwork, to Mrs V Smith at recruitment@lifeeducationtrust.com by 9am on Wednesday 8th July.
