22 hours per week (8.30am-4pm 2x dpw- 8.30am – 5pm 1x dpw- (half hour lunch)
40 weeks per year
Grade 3 Scale point 5-9
Actual Salary Range £11,908 – £12,789 p.a.
We are seeking to appoint an Administrative Officer, to support the School Business Manager and the Headteacher, in all aspects of administrative services and limited financial services at the school.
The successful candidate will be flexible and able to use their initiative, as well as having excellent interpersonal skills. This role is largely Excel and Word/ Google drive based therefore any candidate will have to be able to demonstrate strong organisational and IT skills ensuring that the operational functions of the role are managed. They will also possess the ability to work well within a team, contributing to the on-going development of the administrative infrastructure competently and efficiently. The main areas of responsibility will include:
- Administrative and secretarial support to the school
- Financial support (limited) to the SBM. Advanced Excel experience is essential (experience of SIMS/ FMS would be an advantage)
- Safeguarding
- Communications to the Hylands school community
- Managing the public interface of the school via the school’s website and other media
They will need to be organised yet adaptable, approachable but with a clear sense of direction and able to work effectively under pressure. A first aid qualification or willingness to undertake training for this would be essential.
