1-1 Teaching Assistant
Hours: 32.5 hours per week x 38 weeks per year
Grade: APTC 3 Point 5-6
Pro rata salary: £16,747 - £17,051 per annum (£22,185 - £22,587 full time salary p.a)
Contract: Temporary, linked to identified pupil
Required to start in January 2021, we are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, confident individual with excellent interpersonal skills to support a nominated child under the overall direction of the SENDCO and Class teacher.
Their work is primarily to foster the participation of the nominated pupil in the social and academic processes of the school; seek to enable the pupil to become a more independent learner; and help to raise standards of achievement for the nominated pupil. A background knowledge of ASD, preverbal children, as well as experience in the use of PECS, Makaton and attention autism would be advantageous.
