At Crownfield Junior, we believe in working as a team for the children that we are responsible for and care for. We believe that our children are at the centre of all we do and we encourage and support them to be the best that they can be. We treat the children as individuals and understand that their needs are unique to them.

We would like to appoint an enthusiastic, organised person who has experience in supporting students to enable them to fulfil their full potential within a school environment. This position is to enable the school to implement interventions necessary due to lockdown. The successful applicant would be expected to take classes to allow teachers to support children via targeted small group sessions. Previous experience of working with young children, preferably KS2, is essential as is a good standard of Literacy and Numeracy.

Our Ofsted Report in June 2018 stated:

‘The school has a strong culture of care. Pupils are extremely polite and well behaved.  In lessons, they are engaged in their learning and listen to one another respectfully’.

We are lucky to be set in beautiful grounds. Our children are great to work with: polite, enthusiastic, hard working with a sense of fun!  We have a very stable staff who work together for the good of the children – they have a sense of humour too!

The HLTA would work under the direction of the Senior Management Team and the SENCo. At all times, the HLTA will work within a Year Group reporting to the Head of Year on an agreed system of supervision and management.

In these challenging times, we cannot offer you a tour of the school during the day but our children have put together a selection of photos for you to look at. I am also available to contact at any time during the day.  Please phone our reception on 01708 747070. You may also wish to look at our website and blog for further information.

Interviews will be face to face.

Closing Date:   10th March 2021

Interviews:       WC 15th March 2021
