Salary £31,507 - £33,453 per annum
40 hours per week x 52 weeks per year

We are seeking to appoint a self-motivated, enthusiastic colleague with initiative to join our staff and lead a hard working site team. You will be expected to work with minimal supervision adopting a common sense approach to support the Business Manager in accordance with the practices, procedures and requirements of the Academy. You will be responsible for organising and managing the work activities of the site team to ensure adequate support is available during the school day and during evening and weekend lettings. The main duties of the site team include security of the premises and its contents, general maintenance of all internal and external areas including maintenance and operation of plant, porterage, grounds maintenance, litter control and where appropriate, chemical control under direction.
As Facilities Manager, you will have responsibility for all Health & Safety aspects of the facilities ensuring compliance to all current legislation/requirements. In addition, you will liaise with service providers such as cleaning and catering contractors to ensure service levels are met. You will have financial responsibility for managing costs associated with maintenance and utility service providers. The successful candidate is expected to be able to respond to emergency ‘out of hours’ situations promptly and hold a full Driving Licence which includes category D1.
