Learning Mentor

Hours: Full time or part time considered.Term time + 2 weeks.

Full time hours: Monday-Thursday 8:20am-5:10pm, Friday 08:20am-4:10pm. Part time to be discussed at interview.

(it is anticipated that all professional duties will be completed during this time apart from attendance at parents’ evenings, open days/evenings and any off site activities).

Salary: £19,382 - £28,563 depending on qualifications and experience. Full time equivalent quoted - salary will be pro rata.

 

An opportunity has arisen for a Learning Mentor to join Elutec to support the work of our students. 

You will need to demonstrate the following skills:- 

  • Self-motivation and a positive role model
  • An understanding of barriers to learning and the ability to help overcome these
  • An understanding of safeguarding children and families
  • Build appropriate relationships with both children and families
  • To be able to work as part of a team and independently
  • A proven record of working with young people is desirable
  • Ability to engage constructively with young people with different ethnic and social backgrounds
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A good sense of humour
