Head of Faculty - Technology

Equivalent MPS (Outer London) and TLR2a £5407

Required for a June or September 2020 start

Permanent position Full time

 

We seek to appoint an outstanding teacher and leader to drive forward our Technology faculty. The successful applicant will be instrumental in ensuring the improvement of the departments within the faculty, ensuring high quality teaching and that there are student intervention programmes in place which contributes to student progress. This post would be ideal for a current Head of Faculty or an aspiring and ambitious Head of department/TLR holder. Within the faculty there are Business Studies, Computer Science, Food, Hospitality & Catering, IT, Product Design.

Sanders is part of the Success for All Educational Trust along with Redden Court School and Royal Liberty. Sanders School is a small comprehensive, 11-16 school, located in Hornchurch and rich in history. As the Head of Faulty you will

  • Have overall accountability for the standards attained by all students within the faculty (Business Studies, Computer Science, Food, Hospitality & Catering, IT, Product Design)
  • Monitor standards of attainment, progress and attendance across the faculty, targeting strategies/interventions for rapid progress
  • Ensure the development of effect teaching and learning that maximises individual progress
  • Have overall accountability for the monitoring, quality assurance, assessing and reporting of progress across the faculty
  • Be accountable for the learning environment including facilities, health and safety and effective deployment of resources
