TRUST HEAD OF FINANCE AND PROCUREMENT

Salary: Grade 9 Point 40 - 44. Annual Salary £45,834 - £49,827

Hours: 36 hours per week/52 weeks per year

Required January 2021

 

Empower Learning Academy Trust was formed in September 2016 and currently consists of four academies in the London Borough of Havering: Hall Mead School; The Brittons Academy; Bower Park Academy and Hacton Primary School. Our mission is:

Empower Learning Academy Trust wishes to appoint a dynamic Head of Finance and Procurement to lead the finance team who form part of the Trust’s Central Services Team, based at our Bower Park Academy but with visits to all sites expected. You will responsible for the provision of Financial and Procurement services across the Trust as well as providing support to Academy Head Teachers, working closely with The Trust Senior Leadership team. You will support the delivery of monthly reporting, budget building, quarterly forecasting and budget and resource monitoring.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of producing and managing large, complex budgets,
  • Experience of managing a successful team
  • Experience of producing annual returns and monthly management accounts (oversight).
  • Ability to meet challenging deadlines, show initiative and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to draw up contract specifications, procure services and manage contract fulfilment.
  • Ability to prioritise, plan and organise with meticulous attention to detail.
